A Model Context Protocol server for YNAB that lets AI assistants read and manage your budget through natural language — 13 focused tools, a stateless "Sign in with YNAB" OAuth broker, read-only mode, and one-command Docker deploys for self-hosting.
A CLI, published on npm, that reconciles YNAB account balances against SimpleFIN Bridge — it fetches what each account is actually worth and posts a single balance adjustment per account. Guided setup, dry-run previews, and CI-tested.
An app for creating, discovering, and reviewing music events — from dorm parties to festivals. Deep market analysis, wireframes, a product manual, and an MVP, built through HMC INQ, Harvey Mudd's alumni-mentored incubator.
A web app that colorizes black-and-white images with a convolutional neural network, built for CSCI121: Software Development at Harvey Mudd using Flask and OpenCV.
A year-long research project through the Gould Center for Humanistic Studies tracing hip-hop's trajectory geographically — data collected via the Spotify and Genius APIs plus historical Billboard Hot 100 charts, paired with qualitative analysis.
A seeded generative art piece built in p5.js for CSCI198 at Harvey Mudd — enter any seed and it renders a deterministic 3D composition mapped onto a globe, so the same seed always produces the same artwork.

I'm a full-stack software engineer at OnePay, a financial services startup backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital, where I work across Rewards, Points, and Invest — from architecture through launch, including real-time market-data systems.
Before that I spent two and a half years at Roku in Ad Engineering, building a flagship self-service ad platform, after interning there and at Indigo Agriculture. On the side I build open-source tools, most recently around YNAB and personal finance automation.
I graduated cum laude from Claremont McKenna College in 2022 with a double major in computer science (all classes taken at Harvey Mudd) and philosophy. My passions include entrepreneurship, consumer technology, music technology, and digital ethics.
Full-stack engineer at a fintech startup backed by Walmart and Ribbit Capital. Core engineer on Rewards 2.0/Points from planning through launch; key engineer on Invest, owning instrument policy, promo purchases, performance charting, and real-time high-frequency market-data systems. Built Datadog metrics, dashboards, and alerting, and served on-call through the entire Invest launch.
Full-stack engineer on a new flagship self-service ad platform, building features from database to frontend through alpha, beta, and GA. Led execution and documentation of an internal emailing-service integration adopted organization-wide.
Built dashboards for a new analytics suite in an enterprise Angular app for advertisers and publishers. Shipped a high-priority preset report templates feature, improved navigation and routing, and rewrote test suites.
Wrote user stories, product requirements, and wireframes for four new customer-facing interfaces; interviewed customers and developers to inform designs and worked with engineering through implementation.
Automated ingestion of 10 international crop reports feeding customer-facing yield models (~5× more data per report), backfilled hundreds of historical reports (~1000× database growth), and built anomaly detection with PagerDuty alerting.
Designed and deployed a Slack app interfacing with an in-house developer CLI (used daily), and built a Lambda function reporting customer activity and build/deploy times to Datadog dashboards.
Implemented a web-driven feature in a Java backend to confirm businesses were bookable on publishers; researched geotagging vendors and generated Alexa phrase permutations with Python.

As a summer associate product manager, Miles demonstrated a strong work ethic and excellent creative problem-solving ability. Leveraging his prior experience as a software engineer, Miles was able to successfully expand his skillset and grow into the role of product manager by working hard to learn the core principles of agile development and product-market fit. For example, when asked to design a new customer-facing local advertising analytics interface from scratch, he was able to use his existing technical skills to not only document the Google and Facebook APIs the system was based on, but also successfully capture key business goals by interviewing stakeholders and finding comparative examples to develop initial wireframes and written product requirements documentation. To Miles's significant credit, he was able to produce high-quality, useful work from almost his first day on the job and demonstrated a maturity and work ethic rare for someone in a summer associate role. We're very sad to be losing Miles at the end of the summer, but are delighted to recommend him unequivocally as a strong contributor and great asset for any organization.
Miles spent the summer of 2019 at Indigo building a system to digitize decades worth of domestic and international agriculture reports. He ended up with a system that efficiently and correctly processed reports from a handful of different agencies and 50-odd formats (some reports seem to change formats every year) written in Python and deployed using Airflow. After the summer, Miles stayed on for a few months part-time while he was back at school to add support for a couple more agencies. He was great to work with and produced quality code that's still being used (and built upon). 5/5 stars. Would recommend.
Miles is a rare find. Not only is he very smart technically but he's very personable. I could throw almost any task at him and I would feel confident that he will deliver (technical/leadership/mundane/whatever needs done). He's adaptable, friendly, and hard-working. He has a combination of traits that will make him a superstar in whatever area he goes into. Miles has the traits and skills where he can work anywhere he chooses and be successful — the hard part will be convincing Miles that your company or position is worth his time.
I had a pleasure to have Miles as a summer intern on my team at Pingup. Even though a high school student, Miles was able to quickly grasp concepts and required minimal supervision. I was pleasantly surprised with his ability to find pragmatic solutions, and overall quality of his work. Therefore, I would recommend Miles without any reservations.
